A tool for facilitating seismic depth imaging and velocity analysis with seismic unix (called ISTRICI) was developed by OGS to facilitate the use of Seismic Unix (SU), free software designed to process seismic data. Seismic Unix is not user-friendly, even though it is a powerful tool for performing pre-stack depth migration and using the residual parameters to update the seismic velocity model based on the pre-stack depth migration results. What is missing are interfaces that allow practical, interactive, and easy application of the ISTRICI. So, this project will be dedicated to perform engineering of ISTRICI and the updating of the codes for HPC in order to greatly increase the amount of data to be analyzed.
