This series of lectures focus on introducing fundamental concepts in high-end computer architecture, with a particular focus on one of the most popular processing architectures in the world today, namely the ARM architectures. The lectures will cover fundamentals of CPU design, Pipelining and Branches, Instruction-Level Parallelism (ILP), Memory hierarchies (caches and off-chip memory technologies), multicore and multithreading principles, Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), modern vector units and Arm SIMD instruction sets (NEON and SVE). No hardware prerequisites are needed.
