The course introduces general concepts of Machine Learning, through several Unsupervised Machine Learning techniques with special focus on dimensional reduction and clustering, as well as fundamental concepts and algorithms of Deep Learning. An overview of generative models will be presented through the study of a concrete biological problem. Natural Language Processing (NLP) will also be introduced together with some of the models that have allowed recent breakthroughs.
